Task on networking
Dear ToT friends,
Here is the first set of tasks we would like you to do. This will be a short task, the need of which you shared in the training.
So this task and activity will open possibility to:
- continue a better get to know each other also outside of the training, to make use of the resource of the group
- will gather a summarized information about your professional resources and engagements in one space accessible for all of you
- open a reflection on the role of networking in social entrepreneurship and look into our competences of networking and relation building
We would be happy if you could fulfill the task by 15th of April.
Step 1. Go to your Profile and fill in information about you. Please include your country, your organisation, your link to the field of Social Entrepreneurship and training, some facts about your professional work and field of expertise. You are also welcome to write here about your talents, hobbies or interests. We know you have many
Step 2. Scan all the profiles and find 5 people with who you would like to connect to and write their name and the link you want to make. Very similar to the exercise we did, but here you have more chances to meet everyone. We invite you to use the chances online and fix a short Over a Coffee meeting with them. And if you did meet, we would love to see a photo and a very short Twitter type of a message about it in the forum Over a Coffee created for this purpose. One challenge for you - think about a person, outside of our course, you have been planning, wanting, needing to meet for a long time for your work and right now make a call or drop an email to them.
Step 3. As a small reflection exercise to summarize our networking work, please watch the video "An introvert's guide to networking" by Rick Turoczi, who shares networking tips to connect the dots and people for a better business. Once you watch the video, let us know what you think about it. How do you see the role of networking in entrepreneurship? What would be the specificity, if any, when we talk about networking in SE? You can leave your comments in the forum "Reflections on the videos".
